20. BUDGET & FINANCE:

A. Take all appropriate action to amend the American Rescue Plan Act budget by $2,732,600 from Public Infrastructure – EMS Facilities to Pandemic Relief Effort for the creation of twenty-one (21) grant-funded Paramedic I positions in the Emergency Medical Services Department, Grade P1 of the Emergency Medical Services Policy Group, to mitigate overtime expenses caused by an increase in call volume during the COVID-19 pandemic, effective April 12, 2022 through September 30, 2023; created positions will be funded by the American Rescue Plan Act Grant in the amount of $847,800 in FY2022 and $1,884,800 in FY2023 and then moved to the General Fund Emergency Medical Services FY2024 budget with a net $0 impact to the budget due to overtime savings.

B. Take all appropriate action to amend the American Rescue Plan Act budget by increasing the American Plan Act Administration fund in the amount of $87,352 for program administration fees to be transferred from American Rescue Plan Act Contingency in the amount of $65,183 and $22,169 from Special Purchases/CIP.
